 This PCL forms designer is a quick and easy way to create complex forms that can be integrated into Windows and DOS applications.

Visual Forms/PCL is for programmers who:

  • Set type flush left, flush right centered or fully justified
  • Import OCR and ASCII text files of large blocks of text, eliminating keyboarding
  • Duplicate objects with a click of the mouse
  • Create sections of a form and merge into Main form
  • Align more than one object to an anchor object automatically
  • Embed fonts and/or Marco IDs into the PCL file (form).
  • Add your own cod string into the header of the PCL file.

How does Visual Forms/PCL differ from Visual Forms/WIN

  • Generates the escape codes for the laser printer instead of creating Windows metafiles (prints to laser printers with PCL 4 or higher. Will not print to desk jets, ink jets).
  • Supports PCL bitmapped soft fonts not TrueType fonts.
  • Imports PCX files not BMP files (prints only black and white).
